Wind and Nuclear Energy Today

Nuclear Energy is fission and nuclear fusion. We have been using nuclear fission reactors for over fifty years. We had some horribly poor designs including the one in Chernobyl. We had problems disposing of nuclear waste. Today's design's of nuclear energy are like the difference between computers in the 1960's and computer's today. I believe that much of our energy's needs can be met with nuclear energy, because it is clean and we now have ways to reprocess 95% of all nuclear material for reuse in reactors. What is left is reprocessed into glass and is going to be put in Yuca Flats down almost a mile into descending fault lines. Nuclear fusion is the future of long term energy needs. France is a 100% nuclear nation and has never had a nuclear accident.
The NIF program that I worked on over ten years ago is being used today for using lasers to produce nuclear fusion. Cold fusion is a long ways away but still possible for energy use. With the inconsistent power generations of solar energy and wind power, nuclear power is consistent 24 hours a day.
We should have nuclear power plants under the desert in Death Valley with solar panels all around it tied in for a self contained environment.
There have been numerous reports such as the naval report I have which illustrates all factors are considered for is safe disposal and storage. We also have do deal with the waste from all the nuclear submarines around the world today. I still think taking all the nuclear waste in the world and sending on a shuttle to the sun or moon is the best way to deal with it.

Wind energy is great because there are many areas off the coasts of the United States and windy areas that produce sustained wind all year long. The problem with wind energy is that many birds are killed annually that fly into the wind turbines. In California I have seen hundreds of wind turbines that require a great deal of maintenance to maintain. There are many new designs that I have seen cited in Popular Science and other magazines like Scientific American that are approaching new radical designs of wind generation that increase the output and efficiency of wind power. Eighty countries around the world including Denmark, Spain, Portugal and Germany have between 7-19% of there energy needs from wind power. With new battery technology and electronics for more efficient wind power, the sky is the limit as to what we can do with wind power. The conversion ratio of wind systems is 50% compared to coal, natural gas burning plants and current solar technology is only 18% conversion officially. Exploring new type of 1-8 blade wind turbine engineering we can increase the torque to power conversion ratio as illustrated in the Stiebler. Wind farms can be ideally used in high wind areas of the United States that produce sustained wind. California with 2,096 MW as number one wind farm energy producer.

Water Pollution Today

Water is essential no matter what our government and its water quality says it should be. States and government agencies manipulate allowed pollution levels.
If we don't have sufficient water treatment plants we change the use of chlorine to chloramine, which is a lethal combination of chlorine and ammonia to clean drinking water. But, the new problem is that every pharmacological in the pharmacy is now in large cities drinking water.Everything from birth control pills to cocaine is in New York's drinking water. I try to have a low flush toilet and don't do my laundry except in the evening to lower peak demand. I don't water my lawn because I don't have one in the country. Solutions, build 10,000 desalination plants in the United States and get that money from $100 billion that would be spent on defense. Have secure fresh drinking water forever is the best defense any nation can have, instead of more aircraft carriers, and jetfighters. WE have our nations priorities screwed up. We could build more aqueducts like Rome built to transport water from areas of flooding to areas of draught. With a major national network of aqueducts we could maintain an even distribution of water throughout the United States. I was watching a program on the Science channel about how a desalination plant works. I read that new technology make them 50% more efficient. With unlimited fresh water, this nation could compete in growing more agricultural crops than any other nation in the world. With 1000 sq. miles of the government owned land in Arizona converted to solar farms, then all the power for all the desalination pumps and most of the nations energy needs could be met. Enforcing nation policies on illegal dumping of sewage and toxic wastes into our rivers and lakes is insane. Maybe if there were death penalties for CEO's that pollute in such matters, imposing billion dollar fines for oil spills like that of the oil spill now in the Gulf may discourage reckless endangerment practices by oil companies and oil rigs. People will comply with lowering their wasted water usage if our government would address these polluted water policies and create more water treatment and desalination plants to meet the national needs.

Air Pollution and Global Change

Air pollution first of all creates an inversion layer trapping in pollutants and trapping in heat. The planet is in a contact state of change. With our limited lifespan we don't understand the long lifetime of the earth. Things change on the Earth over spans of thousands or hundreds of thousands of years. The impact of these changes on the Earth along with Solar cycles have an impact on the climate. Every 26,000 years we have a flip of the magnetic poles and the galactic alignment of the sun will occur in 2012 according to a report on the history channel. We can't cope out our polluting the planet by blaming the changes on the earth climate as natural, it being accelerated by man made terraforming of the earths atmosphere to a Venus type climate if we don't make changes to our method of power generation and what methods of fuel we utilize in business and day to day life.
By having over 3400 jets flying around the world everyday we are essentially cloud seeding the atmosphere with jet fuel and jet fuel exhaust. Why do think there is such a dramatic rise in children with asthma in most large cities, it is the air pollution caused by gasoline driven cars and buses. Los Angeles will be the first city to have ALL of its buses switched over to electric and propane which is allot cleaner. If we stop cutting downing trees in Brazil amongst other areas of the world, those trees help reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. If we must continue to use gasoline cars then there must be a method to reduce the emissions to near zero along with cleaner burning buses. In China many of the factories there were shutdown during the Olympics so that athletes and marathon runners wouldn't be affected by the high levels of pollutants in the atmosphere. Even rocket launchers were installed to induce silver iodine into the atmosphere in attempts to minimize rain storms in the area. But, China and India's industrial growth needs to be addressed because of their contributed impact on the global climate. China may be the only country that could shift to electric cars tomorrow if mandated by the communist government.
As more cars and vehicles switch to cleaner burning or zero emission methods of propulsion the gas prices you think will stay down. OPEC and the oil producing nations will lower their productions levels as we moor many of the oil tankers in harbor or have them very slowly come to the united states. We are stockpiling the oil for future use due to the low per barrel prices. We are so addicted to oil due to the incredible profits by Mobil and Shell and Exxon they won't give up their oil. Even with record profits companies like Shell are lowering their employees wages, can you believe that.
Here is a solution to lowering cost of manufacturing in the unites states is to have all manufacturing companies outfitted with solar panels and solar concentrators. Europe is starting a massive program as seen on "Ecopolis" to install solar on many of the residential and business buildings.
Many new types of solar generation are being worked on to lower the costs of energy usage in the manufacturing of goods and home use. With government subsidies and rebates we could actually compete with third world nations that have taken 40 million manufacturing jobs over the last 10 years.
Every president promises change and we shall see if Obama and this next administration will make any difference to get the world out of the potential worldwide depression that looms. With home prices expected to go down another 25% it is going to be a tough year for everyone.
We all have to hang in there this year.

Re-Education of America - World Market

Today there are hundreds of high-tech jobs for people but companies are finding it difficult to find qualified people for these jobs. Companies are having to insource their engineers from contries like India and China who produce over 100,000 engineers every year. They are graduating with degrees from top universites at a cost of $5000-$10,000 compared to the high costs in United States. We are graduating too many people with law degrees and business degress and not enough with degrees in electrical, mechancial, plastics, chemical and civil engineering to name a few.
There aren't enough doctors getting through because of the ridiciulously high cost of medical school and the fact most students that graduate high school are prepared enough for such higher education. We bailout everyone execept those areas that have long term benefits to the country. I propose all students be in school from K-14, with everyone graduting school with an A.S. degree. Alot of school districts are top heavy with staff and not paying their teachers enough. The value of education is not being impressed upon students who skip school, have gameboys and cellphones in school instead of being challenged in school. a $50 billion bailout of schools with re-organization is in order. Cutting the costs of junior colleges and universites in half would make it more affordable for people to return to college to increase their skillset. With all the high technology the average worker needs to know including computer use. Corporations such as IBM, Dell and Microsoft should contribute more money and computer to high schools, junior colleges and universites to compete with the wave of graduates from other countries like India and China who crank out countless doctors and engineers every year. The costs of books, supplies, etc have made a top college like Harvard over $30,000 a quarter. If I was to return to college I would have to incur large student loans. Students today graduate top universites and stuck paying $100,000-$200,000 debts graduating from law school or medical school. In this economy besides paying for rent, food, gasoline, insurance; most of us don't want to add additional debt and pressure to our ever shrinking paycheck.
Withe the better educated people being able to contribute to the energy sector, better solutions to our energy problems can be met by an increase in educated public.

High Technology Energy Production Unleashed

The economy is in terrible shape according to the media. Corporations are asking for bailouts all except energy production companies and fast food places.
America can increase the number of jobs by investing in energy production with solar, hydrogen, and fuel-cell production. Hundreds of companies in the west are producing higher quality solar-cells every month, increasing the efficiency of them with new technologies. Nanotechnology coupled with solar cells has given a 50% efficiency in solar cells. With lower energy costs in the production and manufacturing goods that will lower the costs of production to the consumer. If all the auto companies and small goods manufacturers embraced solar, fuel-cell and ultra capacitor technology we could start competing with the companies that we have been outsourcing to over the last 20+years. Outsourcing everything has contributed to this current economic crisis in the united states. Now we are feeling its affects.
We have to start competing more in the energy production and storage industries because of all the developements coming out of other countries in the world to lower their energy consumptions and its impact on its industrial sectors and cost to the citizens.
